ESRI put the squeeze on James.
I emailed James about it and no response back. Interesting as he’s always VERY quick to respond to any email.
Comments gispro? I thought you were done with them?
I’m just searching for information here. If there is another explanation I’ll gladly change the topic.

I sent him a text message and he didn’t respond. Very peculiar if you ask me.
Come on, ESRI isn’t necessarily the evil empire. I can’t imagine why they would put him under pressure for something like this, especially since he rectified himself fast.
It looks more like a problem with his hosting company, but I could be wrong. I’m sure he’ll resurface sooner rather than later.
At least he isn’t the only one who is fast with conclusions.

Breaking news…
A man impersonating a disgruntled ESRI marketing executive was seen leaving James’ office with a big roll of carpet over his shoulder.
Witnesses overhead the executive saying to the carpet ‘no GIS for you’. Unconfirmed reports suggest one witness said the man had a Russian accent.

Well.. that explains the black vans and choppers around his house that were sighted earlier…
More likely, this is just one of them “WTF?” moments.
I have to say this is quite interesting…..
My guess is that he was busy upgrading his FreeBSD server software
